Clif Shot Electrolyte drink is formulated for optimal rates of hydration and absorption of carbohydrate and electrolytes. A 6-8% carbohydrate solution has been shown consistently to be the best concentration for supplying glucose to muscles and for replacing lost fluids with the best digestive tolerance for most people. The American College of Sports Medicine and the American Dietetic Association recommend a 6-8% solution for continuous hydration and carbohydrate delivery during activity. Drinks less than 6% are not well absorbed by the gut and drinks greater than 8% can lead to digestive distress.
Drink CLIF SHOT Electrolyte during activity. Mix one scoop with 7 oz cold water. Shake well and adjust concentration to desired level. Consume 16 oz every 30 to 60 minutes depending on conditions and intensity of activity.
